Oeuvres de Copland, Duke, Farwell, Bacon, Pearson-Thomas, Gendel, Laitman & Hoiby sur des poèmes d'Emily Dickinson / Julia Faulkner, soprano - Martha Fischer & Lee Hoiby, piano

a poésie D'Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) a suscité l'inspiration de nombreuses mélodies. Huit d'entre elles sont présentées ici explorant les thèmes de l'amour, de la mort, de l'immortalité, de la nature : des pièces d'Aaron Copland, Scott Gendel, Lee Hoiby (1926-2011)... Ce dernier, à la fois compositeur et pianiste, accompagne la somptueuse soprano Julia Faulkner. Il s'agit de son ultime enregistrement.
